Re-Advertisement: Tender offers are invited for a services contract for the provision of physical security guards at Jwaneng, Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Jwaneng Area Office for a period of twenty-four (24) months.

Closing Date: 21 December 2020 10H00

Site Inspection: A compulsory site visit/inspection will be held on 8th December 2020 at 10:00 at Jwaneng MIH Area Office so that bidders can familiarize themselves with the minimum requirements and the offices.

Document Collection: The physical address for the collection of Tender Documents is Jwaneng Accounts Office, Plot No. 504, Jwaneng Industrial, Department of Facilities Management (Former DBES offices). Documents may be collected during working days from 08:00 to 16:00 from 20th November, 2020. Clarifications or queries relating to the issuance of these documents may be addressed, in writing, fourteen (14) days before the tender closing date for the attention of D. Tender Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of P250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pula only) payable in cash or by bank guaranteed cheque is required on collection of the Tender Document. Note: Youth will pay P125.00 (One Hundred and Twenty-Five Pula only) and bidders who purchased the document in the first instance will not pay during collection.

Document Delivery: A Two-Envelope Procedure will be followed and bids must be submitted as follows: the bid response shall be submitted in separate envelopes clearly marked “Technical” and “Financial” proposals respectively. The envelopes should contain one (1) original Bid Document and two (2) copies of the original and must be securely sealed and labeled: “Tender No. DATC/MIH/DBES/JWA/SER/1/2019-2020 and clearly marked “A Service Contract for the Provision of Physical Security Guards for Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Development Area Office in Jwaneng for a Period of 24-Months”. The name of the bidder should also appear on the envelopes. These should be enclosed in a larger outer envelope securely sealed and also labeled with the Tender Number and Title. The outer larger envelope shall be addressed to DATC Secretary, Office of District Commissioner, P. O. Box 2, Jwaneng and delivered to Office of DFM Area Manager’s office, Procurement Office, Jwaneng Industrial. The closing time for receipt of tender offers is 10:00 on 21st December 2020. Opening of tender offers will be done at 10:30 after closing at Jwaneng Department of Facilities Management where bidders wishing to witness the tender opening session may send their representatives to attend. Late tender offers will not be accepted. Telegraphic, faxed or emailed submissions shall not be accepted.

Qualifying Criteria: 100% citizen owned security companies. This is an Open Domestic Competitive Bidding tender where tenderers who are domiciled in Botswana must, in order to be considered for award of the contract, be registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) in the following categories: Code: 100 – Security Services, Sub-Codes: 01 – Guard Services. The provision of EDD Price Preference Scheme will apply. The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board’s Standardized Conditions of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender Data is contained in the Tender Documents. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer. The tenderers shall bear the costs for the preparation of tender.
